Description

The tour starts in Jerusalem with a drive through the Judean Desert to the Allenby Bridge/King Hussein crossing into Jordan. Upon entering Jordan, visit Mount Nebo, offering a unique viewpoint of the Jordan River's west bank.

After lunch at a local restaurant, explore the ancient mosaic map of Jerusalem at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George in Madaba. Then, enjoy a scenic drive south to a Bedouin camp near Petra where you will spend the night.

Experience Bedouin hospitality with an Arab-style dinner and an evening of stargazing accompanied by local tea. Overnight accommodations provide comfortable beds in the desert camp.

The next morning starts with breakfast at the camp before heading to Petra. This UNESCO World Heritage site was carved into red sandstone cliffs as the tomb of a Nabataean king in the 1st century. A licensed guide will lead you through key sites including the Siq, the Treasury, and the Amphitheater.

After the guided tour, enjoy free time to explore independently—climb to the Royal Tombs, walk the Roman Cardo, or hike to the Monastery. The group will reconvene for lunch in Wadi Musa before returning to Jerusalem via the King Hussein/Allenby crossing.
