Description
The tour begins at the Mount of Olives, offering expansive views over ancient Jerusalem. Descend the mount to see the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations with its colorful mosaic, and notable Jewish burial tombs including Zechariah, Absalom, and Benei Hazir.
Travel through the Kidron Valley toward the Armenian Quarter, walking along the Cardo, once lined with Crusader shops and now home to modern stores. Continue to the Jewish Quarter and visit the Western Wall, the last remaining section of the Second Temple, where visitors can leave prayer notes in the cracks between the stones.
Follow the Via Dolorosa, the traditional path of Jesus' final journey marked by the 14 Stations of the Cross. The route ends at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, located on the site traditionally identified as Golgotha, where Jesus was crucified.
After exploring Jerusalem, travel past Jericho to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth at approximately 400 meters below sea level. Relax and float in the sea’s highly saline water, which makes swimming effortless and buoyant. The day concludes with transportation back to your hotel in Tel Aviv.
