Description
The tour begins at Mount Scopus, offering panoramic views over Jerusalem. Your guide points out landmarks such as the Garden of Gethsemane, Church of All Nations, and the Kidron Valley.
Travel through Jerusalem’s landscape to enter the Old City via Zion Gate. Inside the 500-year-old walls, you will see the Armenian Quarter and the ancient Jewish Quarter. Highlights include the 1,500-year-old Byzantine Cardo, a colonnaded street, and the sacred Western Wall—part of the Second Temple’s outer retaining walls, a key Jewish landmark.
Follow Jesus’s path to crucifixion along the Via Dolorosa, stopping at the 5th Station of the Cross and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which contains the Stone of Unction and Christ’s burial tomb. After a lunch break, explore the Old City bazaar before heading toward the Dead Sea.
Drive through desert scenery with a view of Jericho in the distance, passing the “sea level” marker, then descend 430 meters below sea level to the Dead Sea.
