Description
This immersive tour begins with a panoramic view of the Old City from the Mount of Olives or Mount Scopus. The group then enters the City of David near the Dung Gate, overlooking the Kidron Valley and ancient burial caves, with insight into King David’s choice of Jerusalem as his capital.
The tour continues through significant archaeological remains including King David’s palace, a Proto-Aeolic capital, a four-room house, and the Gihon Spring. Participants then visit the historic Pool of Siloam and ascend the ancient stone-paved Pilgrimage Road. The tour concludes after a lunch break in the Jewish Quarter with visits to Mount Zion, including King David’s Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper.
