Embark on a tour that leads you through the life of Christ. See where some of the most important events from the New Testament took place. On this tour, you’ll get to see the places where Jesus spent a significant amount of time. Contrary to popular belief, the amount of time Jesus spent in Jerusalem relatively short in comparison to the time he spent in Galilee and the pastoral fisherman village of Capernaum. Begin your tour by being picked up from your hotel in Jerusalem. Drive north to Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus. Visit the Church of Annunciation, which was built on the house of the Virgin Mary, where the angel Gabriel appeared to her and announced that she would conceive and bear the Son of God, Jesus. Enter the Church of St. Joseph, which according to early tradition was built on top of the carpentry workshop of Joseph, father of Jesus. Journey east and ascend Mt. Tabor. Enjoy a magnificent view of the Jezreel Valley. Stop by the Church of the Transfiguration, the traditional site of the transfiguration of Jesus. Continue eastwards to the shores of the Sea of Galilee and visit Tabha, the site of the miracle of the loaves and fish. Pass by the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus gave his Sermon on the Mount. Visit Capernaum, a 2000-year-old Jewish fishing village that was the center of Jesus’ messianic work. Known as “his town,” Jesus spent a substantial part of his life here healing the sick, preaching in the synagogue, and performing miracles. Afterward, return to Jerusalem.
